Where our Phantom Blade Zero data comes from

Every fact on Phantom Blade Zero DB comes from a cited source and carries a label saying how sure we are of it. Until the October 29 launch, most of the game is known from official announcements, official footage and demo builds — never from guesses.

Where the data comes from

Phantom Blade Zero DB uses four kinds of sources, in this order of trust: what S-GAME, Sony and the store pages state; what can be read off the screen in official footage such as the State of Play deep dive; what can be read off the screen in public demo builds; and what the press reported from hands-on sessions.

Names come from the game itself: a boss name is the one on its health bar, a weapon's move text is quoted as it appears on its in-game card. Community findings are credited to their author and labelled as such.

Each page lists its sources at the bottom, with a link and the date we read them, and shows the date it was last checked.

What each label means

LabelMeaning
OfficialStated by S-GAME, Sony or a store page.
Official footageRead off the screen in official media (State of Play, trailers): the final game's interface, not yet in our hands.
Demo buildRead off the screen in a pre-release demo. The studio warns that balancing and maps may change.
Press previewReported by the press from a hands-on session.
UnverifiedA single weak source, shown only with this label.
Verified in gameChecked in the released game, from launch onward.
DataminedRead from the released game's files: true for that build, not a promise of how it plays.

How the pages are written

Pages are drafted with the help of AI tools. Each fact is checked against its cited source before it goes live; anything that cannot be checked is labelled Unverified or left out. What is not announced yet is said once, in a list, rather than guessed.

Before launch there is no tier list: builds come from loadouts actually played in demo footage, with the run they were seen in.

How errors are corrected

When a newer official source changes a fact, the page text, its label and its last-checked date are updated together, and a news story links to the pages it changed. A wrong detail is fixed on the page as soon as it is found, not left behind a note.

FAQ

01Is Phantom Blade Zero DB an official site?

No. It is an independent fan database, not affiliated with S-GAME or Sony Interactive Entertainment.

02Why do some values say Demo build?

Because they were read from a pre-release demo. They are replaced by values checked in the released game after October 29.
