Bells & fast travel
Fast travel in Phantom Blade Zero runs through bells. Ring a bell to make it a checkpoint and a travel point; from then on you can travel between any bells you have found. A thin red thread near Soul points toward the nearest undiscovered bell.
How to unlock fast travel
- Find a bell and ring it. It becomes your checkpoint and is added to your travel points.
- Near an undiscovered bell, a thin red thread links to Soul and shows the way.
- Ringing a bell also reveals part of the region's ink map.
- Travel works between any bells you have discovered, across regions.
What resting at a bell does
- Restores your health.
- Refills your potion charges.
- Refills the Remnant Sparks your Phantom Edges spend.
- In 66 Days mode, touching a bell is also the only way the game saves.
Whether enemies respawn when you rest is still disputed between hands-on reports; it will be confirmed at launch.
How many bells are there?
Bells are one of the seven columns of each region's collection tracker. The only full tracker shown so far, Mandate Encampment, lists 18 bells. The per-region list is on the bells locations page.
