Phantom Blade Zero builds

A build is two blades, two Phantom Edges, two potions and your accessories. Until launch, the only builds worth trusting are the ones people actually played — so each loadout below comes from demo footage, with the run it was seen in.

Defensive · high damageDemo build

Parry & cleave

Soft Snake Sword's fend-off parry strips the enemy's Sha-Chi without costing yours; each successful parry also charges Juggernaut. Swap when the greatsword glows red and cash the charges in with the sweeping cleave.

  1. Hold L1 and tap △ into incoming hits with Soft Snake Sword.
  2. Parries build Juggernaut charges — swap once it turns red.
  3. Tap △ for the cleave; the swap's automatic attack starts the combo.

Aggressive · ranged finishesDemo build

Sticky pressure

Two weapons that keep hitting while you move: Seamless Death throws its rings from range, White Serpent & Crimson Viper throws its short sword at the end of a combo and can execute from afar.

  1. Open with ring throws to break Sha-Chi before closing in.
  2. Finish □ △ □ △ strings with the thrown blade.
  3. Execute near-death targets from range instead of chasing them.

Status · burstDemo build

Blood loss

Jagged Steel builds the Blood Loss gauge with every direct hit; Sanguine Twin's speed lands those hits faster. The pairing was the last one run in the S-Party weapon showcase.

  1. Stack Bleed with Jagged Steel's standard chain.
  2. Swap to Sanguine Twin and spend Sha-Chi Essence on its fast L2 combo.
