Why it moved from September 9

The Game Awards 2025 trailer set September 9, 2026 — a date picked for the symbolism of 9/9. In June 2026 S-GAME moved launch to October 29 to spend the extra weeks on bug fixing and optimisation, with the stated aim of not needing a large day-one patch.

The director has said the move had nothing to do with competing releases: “We're only thinking about the quality of the product itself.”

FAQ

01Is Phantom Blade Zero coming to Xbox?

Not at launch. The release date trailer states it will not be on other consoles until at least 12 months after release, so October 2027 at the earliest. PC is available day one.

02Will there be a demo before release?

A PS5 demo listing appeared on the PlayStation Store in August 2026 and was pulled. No demo had been released as of September 24, and S-GAME has not announced one.

03What time does Phantom Blade Zero unlock?

The PlayStation Store lists the PS5 version for 02:00 UTC on October 29 — 10 PM ET / 7 PM PT on October 28, 3 AM in the UK, 4 AM in central Europe. S-GAME has not announced a time itself, and PC unlock times are not listed yet.

04Why does Steam say October 28?

Store pages show the date in the viewer's region; October 28 in the Americas is October 29 in Europe and Asia.
