From 9/9 to October 29
Announced at a June State of Play, the new date moves Phantom Blade Zero from September 9 — picked at The Game Awards for the symbolism of 9/9 — to October 29, 2026.
Why the delay
The studio said the extra weeks go to polish, bug fixing and optimisation across a wide range of hardware, including Steam Deck, so the game does not need a large day-one patch. The director said competing releases played no part in the decision.
